• Three new putter designs on show at booth #2301

TearDrop, one of the game’s most iconic equipment brands, is rolling out a new range of high-performance putters for 2024 featuring the company’s trademark Roll-Face technology – a unique design that helps get the ball rolling more quickly and avoids the skid and bounce that compromise both accuracy and distance control in many other brands.

First formed in 1992, TearDrop enjoyed huge success with its putters on the professional tours and were just as popular with amateur golfers on the back of their precision milling and unique Roll-Face technology. Now under the ownership of Golf Brands Inc, which has turned around the fortunes of many much-loved equipment brands in recent years, the latest range of TearDrop putters includes three models that look destined to capture the imagination of a whole new generation of golfers.

Boasting a stylish, anti-glare black oxide finish, the new range features one blade putter, the TD-1, and two mallet designs, the TD-5 and TD-7.

The TD-1 is a classic, heel-toe weighted blade putter with a crank hosel that has a moderate amount of toe hang and is suitable for the player looking for some level of face rotation. The back flange line and high-definition leading edge alignment aid makes this classic blade a breeze to line up with the hole; while the machined, radial design face with friction grooves produces a smooth, consistent roll.

The TD-5 is an ultra-modern take on the classic small, rounded mallet design. The multi-material construction of steel and aluminium assists in boosting the MOI for added forgiveness. The face-balanced shaft gives minimal amount of toehang and will suit the player looking for a small amount of face rotation whilst the elongated back line and high-definition leading edge alignment makes the TD-5 a breeze to line up with the hole.  A machined, radial design face with friction grooves produces a smooth and consistent roll.

The TD-7 oversized mallet design is the ultimate in forgiveness and alignment. The multi-material construction of steel and aluminium and winged design assists in boosting the MOI for maximum forgiveness. The face-balanced shaft gives minimal toe hang and suits the golfer looking for a small degree of face rotation. The triple-elongated back lines and high-definition leading edge alignment makes the TD-7 incredibly easy to line up to the hole; while the machined, radial design face with friction grooves produces a smooth and consistent roll all the way to the hole.

Golf retailers will be able to get a first look at the new range of TearDrop putters by visiting Golf Brands Inc’s booth [#2301] at the 2024 PGA Show, which returns to the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, Florida from January 24-26. Models will also be available to test at the demo day at Orange County National Golf Centre on January 23.
